About Charles M. Cutler, Ph.D.

charlie 055For more than three decades, Dr. Cutler has treated individuals with compassion, knowledge and the experience gained over many years. By helping patients identify their specific treatment needs, he has assisted them in meaningfully addressing the problems in their lives that have prompted them to seek help.

Dr. Cutler treats adults, seniors and adolescents in La Jolla, California. Come as an individual or as a couple.

Education

Dr. Cutler earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Purdue University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He’s also a graduate of the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Cutler is on the faculty of the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center where he is a training and supervising analyst. He is also an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at UCSD. He is a member of both the American Psychoanalytic Association and the International Psychoanalytical Association.

 

Teaching

As a faculty member of the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center (SDPC), Dr. Cutler teaches a number of classes, including:

  • Introduction to Psychoanalytic Technique
  • Psychoanalytic Case Conference
